The students of the Hospitality and Tourism College (HTC) program at SCC organized the annual Japanese Festival. This cultural event is enjoyed by all students, staff and faculty members. We all enjoyed playing traditional games, trying on kimonos, making origami and having our names painted in beautiful Japanese calligraphy.

I really appreciated this event because I learned about some aspects of Japanese culture. I especially liked watching the students writing names in Japanese calligraphy. It looked really hard to do but the HTC students made it look effortless!
