Shoreline Community College students in Engineering and Technology Society went to the Boeing Factory in Renton, WA. Students got the opportunity to tour the factory, see a plan getting made and meet with Boeing Engineers. Engineering and Technology Society is a very active club at Shoreline. Club member, Jessica reflects, “The Boeing facility tour was a really great experience. Everyone thinks engineers are socially awkward, but the ones we met were so friendly and willing to assist us. There was never an awkward moment.”
The club consists of 41 members and a popular club among international and domestic students. Students not only get the opportunity to explore the world of engineering by meeting engineers at local companies, but also meet and befriend students with similar interests. The Engineering and Technology Society is open to all students who have an interest in engineering, technology or their current project – the 3D printer.
